The Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) is a federal agency founded in 2011 to make financial products and services work better for American consumers. Our mission demands smart, usable, and reliable technology: we’re looking for technologists who want to serve consumers by helping us design and build that technology.
We are now recruiting candidates for the second round of our Technology and Innovation Fellowship, a two-year program for software developers to work with the CFPB to perform the work of a vital government agency, serve millions of consumers, and support the consumer financial marketplace. Fellows will join the Bureau in January of 2015 and after an initial immersion period will be able to work remotely from anywhere in the United States, as long as they have a broadband connection. (We are also hiring web designers, security engineers, and data architects and analysts).
If this is you, we encourage you to learn more about the Fellowship by visiting our Fellows recruitment page at http://www.consumerfinance.gov/jobs/technology-innovation-fellows/
The Bureau is an equal opportunity employer. We offer a workplace that is respectful, fair, and values diversity. CFPB offers comprehensive benefits in addition to salary, including: ten paid holidays, ability to accrue up to 13 days of vacation time and 13 days of sick leave each year, a wide range of health insurance plans, coverage for pre-existing conditions, and no waiting periods (we pay up to 75% of your health insurance premium), dental, vision, and life insurance, and flexible spending accounts for health care and dependent care
Technology & Innovation Fellows can work from home anywhere in the United States (as long as they have a broadband connection) or from our Washington, DC headquarters.
