Job Description

OneCommand is the industry leader known for creating tools for automotive dealerships to enhance relationships with customers, improve workflow, and generate additional revenue. OneCommand offers a unified platform and easy-to-use CRM suite which provides accountability throughout the purchasing cycle, increasing profitability, driving response rates, lowering marketing costs, and increasing owner loyalty. We help dealers continue to create efficiency, lower overall spend, and manage a customer’s experience from inquiry to re-purchase.

At OneCommand we’re building a suite of tools to help car dealers run their business. We’re looking for an engineer to join our team and add features while helping us maintain our strong position as the leading CRM in our industry.

Requirements and Responsibilities

You should have experience pulling data from, and putting data into, various persistent stores as the task demands. You should be comfortable with schema design, querying and indexing. You should also have a good idea about how those things are related.

You should have experience with messaging. From email, to jabber, to voip you should have a good idea about how data flows through the relevant protocols and the various inflection points that let programs do interesting things to it along the way.

We integrate with numerous third party vendors. We are looking for someone who can adapt, refine and define our APIs as we build out these links.

We expect our systems to be highly available and fault tolerant.

We are looking for smart, capable people who enjoy what they do and want to work with a productive team. We realize that the process of making software is actually the product that we sell. To that end we are vigilant about improving the quality of that process and incorporate regular “fixes” to address “issues” in our process too.

Some of the tools and libraries that we use to get the job done:

Python
RabbitMQ
CherryPy
Twisted
Firebird
CouchDB
Freeswitch
Nginx
Qooxdoo
AngularJS

Compensation: We provide competitive compensation and benefits, a casual, friendly, zero
bureaucracy work environment and the best tools for the job.
