Job Description

Angaza builds technology to solve global energy poverty: we enable solar energy solutions to be financed for off-grid consumers. To do so, Angaza develops a mix of custom hardware and software—built on the Python ecosystem—for some of the most demanding and dynamic markets in the world, including Africa and India. We are a for-profit company, based in California and Kenya, that aims market forces at the linked challenges of climate change and global development.

If you join the six-person technical team in San Francisco, you will focus on backend development to deliver new features, manage rapid platform growth beyond thousands of transactions per day, and shape the technical direction of the entire Angaza software stack.

### Prerequisites

- Experience with Python
- Familiarity with at least one statically typed language
- Comfort with a Linux development environment
- Comfort with the standard software engineering toolkit, e.g., git
- Facility with written and verbal communication
- Professional software-development experience required
- Previous startup experience a plus

This position is full-time and on-site, so applicants should be in the Bay Area.
