Python Web Developer
Well-versed in a dynamic programming language such as Python or Ruby
Deep understanding of Object-oriented programming
Experience in database programming: MySQL preferred
Version control experience with git, mercurial, or subversion
Familiarity with MVC/MVT frameworks like Django, Pyramid, web.py, web2py or Ruby on Rails
Experience developing/designing large scale software systems
Experience with distributed computing and messaging systems
Experience writing unit, functional and integration tests
Knowledgeable of various Agile methodologies and practices
Experience with Werkzeug, Flask or Bottle is a plus
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Able to commit and follow through on projects and tasks
Self-starter who is comfortable working with others in a small, dynamic environment
Interested in open-source technologies
Discogs HQ is located right off the Beaverton Central MAX stop in Portland, Oregon. We work in a bright and open office with tons of windows everywhere. Fresh coffee beans, beer and snacks are always on hand and every Friday we have catered lunches delivered. Every month we have a hack day where you’re free to hack on anything Discogs-related. Each developer is free to choose their preferred environment (laptop, display, editor, etc).
