Job Description

Our group within the MIT Dept. of Brain and Cognitive Sciences is creating a cloud service for neuroscience, centered on machine learning algorithms for drug screening and basic research. We want to give scientists everywhere access to new, state-of-the-art automation tools, via an intuitive web platform. Widespread automation is potentially revolutionary for our field – our goal is to build a service that will have a broad impact on neuroscience.

We’re looking for an experienced Python developer to help us architect a scalable back-end infrastructure that supports compute-intensive machine learning jobs and enables seamless visualization, manipulation and sharing of datasets.

Our platform is built around Python, HTML5/CSS3 and GPU-accelerated machine learning – experience with Django and Amazon Web Services is preferred but not required.

We’re building a talented team around a great service that has the potential to broadly impact the way neuroscience is done. Work arrangements (including telecommute) are flexible and compensation is competitive.
