Full-Time Backend Software Engineer (nyc or sea)

NOTE: This job listing has expired and may no longer be relevant!

Job Description

About the role:

You will work directly with the co-founders (CEO and CTO) to build out our backend systems. We are looking for an experienced python developer with production experience building and maintaining flask apps that use sqlalchemy and mysql. We are deployed to aws fargate and prefer managed services to our own infrastructure.

The business logic of the app requires deep integration with third-party APIs, so familiarity with REST / SOAP / RPC frameworks is important.

We value automation and developer tools to help us move quickly. Testing, robust performance and error monitoring are first class priorities here. Please be passionate about building world-class products with stable infrastructure.

What we offer:

- Though we’re early on, we’re well-funded and our team has experience founding and scaling technology businesses (early uber, and a handful of other large tech firms).

- We value individual autonomy within a collaborative environment. You get to make the big decisions, we will help you get there if needed.

- High upside: we are very early but the founding team are experts in the domain. We think this is a great opportunity to both learn from an experienced team as well as get a meaningful stake in the company without large outside investors.

Compensation depends on experience, though we’re looking for someone to partner closely with our CTO.

We prefer candidates local to New York City or Seattle. We welcome candidates of all backgrounds!

Skills Required:

Python 3

TDD, BDD, testing

Bonus Points for Experience in:

AWS infrastructure

Google Adwords API

Facebook Marketing API
