Full-Time Application Developer
NOTE: This job listing has expired and may no longer be relevant!
JBA knows customer data – we work with some of the biggest retail, finance and telco brands in the world advising them on how to create better customer experiences. To do this, JBA has established a team based around data science, analytics and strategy to guide our approach to creating better experiences for customers and the organisations we work with.
We are looking for a developer to join our team building behavioural analysis products.
This is a mid-level role within our development team, working with and supporting our Senior Developers to further develop our suite of behavioural analysis tooling for our clients.
You know the ropes already – you’re completely happy working with python in a console (and you probably have an opinion on Vim) and you’re definitely familiar with the more esoteric commands in Git. Ideally you’ve been working with Django for a while and you know your way around the python web stack. You’ll definitely be expected to run up your own Linux dev environment, with all the pieces you need to start working on our project on your first day here. We’ll be expecting to see your first code hit our production environment by your second week in the office.
If gunicorn, salt, celery and rabbit sounds like some kind of weird dinner party up on the thirteen and a half floor then this role isn’t for you. If that made sense then we want to hear from you – and we definitely want to see what you’re doing on GitHub or BitBucket – a CV alone won’t get you in the door.
JBA is a growing business with offices in Melbourne, Sydney and London. We service clients across telco and retail industries with a particular focus on customer-centric data analysis. We’re massive data geeks and it is not uncommon for data-related things to be discussed over a drink on a Friday afternoon – occasionally whilst playing a retro classic like Golden Eye on an N64.
This role is full time and Melbourne based, at our offices in South Yarra. Consideration will be given to Sydney applicants for our office in Surry Hills. Candidates must be able to work and live in Australia to apply for this role.
